The GAGE Awards, Nigeria’s premier digital awards platform, recently closed the voting portals for its 2024 awards. The voting process, which commenced on December 14, 2023, witnessed active participation from the public across 25 categories.
In 2023, the organizers made public the various categories that were open for nomination and their partnership with the Nigerian Communications Commission and National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to execute West Africa’s biggest Tech Exhibition and Conference.
In addition to the awards, GAGE announced its partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for the Co-Create Africa International Exhibition. Renamed as the ‘NITDA Co-Create West Africa Tech Exhibition,’ the 2-day event, scheduled for February 28th to 29th 2024, will showcase innovative startups and cutting-edge tech solutions.
Speaking on the partnership, NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, emphasized the significance of collaboration in fostering job creation, economic growth, and technological innovation; “Partnership in the tech ecosystem drives job creation and fuels economic growth. Together, we can unleash innovation, foster entrepreneurship, and ignite prosperity.” The Strategic partnership between these companies is a major initiative and a major step toward placing Nigeria as a front-runner for fostering favorable Startup policies and enabling innovation across the continent.

The GAGE Awards ceremony, set for March 2, 2024, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, will feature nominees from over 15 categories, including Payment Gateway of the Year, Fintech Company of the Year, and Online News Platform of the Year.
