As the #NigeriaElections2023 commences with accreditation of voters nationwide, observations of the electoral processes indicate that there is No Labour Party on some ballots at some polling units in some areas in Lagos state such as Festac and Alimosho Local government areas.
Our Reporter who was at Unity Estate Entrance Polling unit at Amuwo-Odofin Housing Estate, Mile 2 ward, observed that there is No LP (Labour Party) logo on some ballot papers.
Also in some Alimosho polling units, INEC brought ballot papers that have LP logo missing.
Equally in Ikoyi, reports say INEC officials have not arrived polling units.
While voters have come out en mass to exercise their civic responsibilities, they are kept waiting even more than two hours that the electoral process should have commenced.
It’s unacceptable for any political party to be excluded from the electoral process. The Labour Party must be given equal representation on the ballot papers for the Senatorial and Federal House of Representatives elections in Lagos State.
