Obi wins Lagos as Tinubu and Atiku trail behind. Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has won the presidential election in Lagos state and Enugu state while leaving the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, trailing behind.
The results were announced by INEC at the National Collation Centre, Abuja.
In Lagos, Obi polled 582,454 to defeat Tinubu in his home state – Lagos.
Tinubu poled 572,606 votes to come second to Obi while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, came third with 75,750 votes.
Local Governments Won:
Although Tinubu won more local government areas than Obi, the total number of votes he got from all the local government areas were less than the numbers Obi got from the few LGAs he won.

A total of 20 local government areas in Lagos. Out of the 20, Tinubu won 11 while Obi won 9.
LGAs won by Tinubu:
The LGS where Tinubu won are: Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Mushin.
LGAs won by Obi:
The LGAs where Peter Obi won includes: Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Alimosho, Ojo and Somolu.
Enugu Results:
Meanwhile, in Enugu, the Labour Party Candidate did a sweeping of the votes as he won the state with a landslide.
According to the results, Obi scored 428,640 votes out of the 456,424 valid votes in the election in the state.
Trailing very far behind is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar who polled 15,749.
Tinubu came distant third with just 4772 votes.
While, 2,112793 persons registered to cast their votes in Enugu, approximately 482,990 were accredited while 12,467 votes were invalid.
Results from LGAs:
There are 17 LGAs in Enugu. Obi polled 11,339 votes from all the LGAs as Atiku Abubaka polled 395 while Bola Tinubu polled only 64 votes.
A breakdown by on Guardian said thus:
“In Awgu council, Obi scored 19,803 votes against Tinubu ‘s 221 votes and Atiku’s 445 votes. In Enugu East; Obi 48,085; Tinubu 212; Atiku 845.
Enugu North, Obi 44,666, Tinubu 229 and Atiku 339; Enugu south, Obi 38,511, Tinubu 194 and Atiku 336.
Ezeagu Obi 16,245, Atiku 537 and Tinubu 186: Ignoetiti, Obi 25001; Atiku 764 and Tinubu 476; Igboeze north, Obi 15,125, Tinubu 181 and Atiku 1174.
Igbo Eze South, Obi 17855, Atiku 1009 and Tinubu 352; Isiuzo, Obi 16,822, Atiku 1768 and Tinubu 129. Nkanu East ,Obi 11,746, Atiku 1430 and Tinubu 94; Nkanu West, Obi 15026, Atiku 550 and Tinubu 343.
