In a recent development, President Bola Tinubu has confirmed the appointment of Ahmed Galadima Aminu as the new Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). This appointment is set for an initial duration of four years as reported by nairametrics.
The announcement was made public through a press release by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity. Prior to this new role, Aminu held the position of General Manager in the Education and Training Department of the PTDF.
The transition comes in the wake of the retirement of the previous Executive Secretary/CEO, Bello Aliyu Gusau. Gusau had applied for a 90-day pre-retirement leave, which began on September 26, 2023.
Aminu is expected to serve in an interim capacity until December 26, 2023, after which he will officially begin his four-year term as the CEO of PTDF. President Tinubu has conveyed his best wishes to Aminu, expressing confidence in his capabilities to lead the organization forward.
