Lost Nnewi PVC. Sever video clips circulating on the social media claim that just three days before the presidential election, hunters have discovered over 1 million (1000, 000) Permanent Voter Card (PVCs) belonging to Nigerian voters from Nnewi in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
The hunters said they discovered the lost PVCs at Akammiri in Umudim, specifically at Eze Nwachukwu area.

Similar video was also revealed by a media practitioner in Nnewi who gave his name as Ikenna Okonkwo.
In the video, you could see thousands of PVCs in a bucket which have not been collected by the owners.

Also, during the lost Nnewi PVCs collection in Nnewi, videos also surfaced claiming INEC officials didn’t want to give the registered voters their PVCs.

We’ve waited for INEC officials here at Obi Umudim,and they didn’t come.The youths have addressed the people,asking them how they want it and they people said it should be distributed.

Meanwhile, residents who discovered the lost Nnewi PVCs have organised to give back the PVCs to the owners at Authority FM’s premises in Nnewi.

In a video online, the organisers are heard explaining that INEC officials had refused to come and share the PVCs.
Meanwhile, the owners of the PVCs at Nnewi have stormed the location to collect their PVCs.
However, there are complaints that some persons want to hijack the recovered PVC and prevent the owners from getting them.

Recall that INEC had, in a post, said that there are about 240 polling units with no registered voters.
INEC said there won’t be any voting for the #NigeriaDecides2023 election in those polling units.
According to the list, in Anambra, about five local government (LGAs) in Nnewi North will not witness voting process.

Meanwhile, INEC has said that out of the over 200 million Nigerians, only a few number above 93 million Nigerians registered to cast their votes in Coming Saturday’s general election.
The electoral umpire also said that it has 1,491 Electoral Constituencies for this election.
Also, 15,331 Contestants from 18 political parties are contesting for the votes of 93,469,008 Registered Voters.
Meanwhile, aside the 240 polling units where elections won’t hold, people would be voting in 774 Local Government Areas.
Also, the voting will be at 176,846 Polling Units in 8,809 Registration Areas/Wards.
Meanwhile, Nnewi is not the only place where PVCs have been found, destroyed or discarded. Places like Lagos, Enugu and Imo states have witnessed same.
