Instagram will be extending the time of its live streams in addition to other changes.
Instagram mentioned on Tuesday that the maximum time for live streams will now be four hours and no longer an hour.
Also, the intent is for the benefit of content creators.
Since the pandemic, the platform has been consistent in bettering the app.

The company said the sole reason is to make life easier for creators.
Trying to fit everything into an hour could be a bit rushed for users.
However, four hours is ample time to pass your message across.
Nonetheless, there are conditions.

If one’s account is not tainted, then the user is good to go.
However, tainted in what way?
It must not have violated any Instagram policy. For instance, should not have any history of IP.
The extended live video time isn’t all Instagram has to offer.
The live videos can also last up to a month.
The video will be stored in the archive for viewing only.
Users will also be able to download the videos or put them on your “IGTV.”
The feature will be available in no time, according to Instagram.

Apart from the above listed, there’s more.
The “Live Now” feature on the IGTV comes up at the end of a stream.
The reason for this update is to give users access to more content.
It’s not just more content, but content that is of interest to users.
