Be among the 40,000 people to benefit from the Federal Government’s free cybersecurity  training for Nigerians.

The Federal government of Nigeria has partnered with the cyber security experts at Halogen Group to train at least 40,000 Nigerian youth and security personnel in the coming days.

Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development and the Nigeria Army entered the partnership deal with Halogen Group for the training.

This is coming at a time that the security challenges in the country has become very worrisome.

Also, this training, according to the government, will teach beneficiaries cybersecurity skills which are currently in high demand globally.

The training also aims at encouraging Nigerian youths to partake in securing the country from insecurity threats.

Signing of the MoU”

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Halogen group.

He was represented by Ismaila Abubakar, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary.

During the MoU signing, the minister noted that the training programme will equally upskill Nigerian youths with telecommunication technology skills.

Also speaking, Dr Wale Adeagbo, Chief Operating Officer of Academy Halogen, said trainees will get certificates after the training.

“Halogen is excited again to be at the vanguard of a project that will change the narratives of youth development to a remarkable one.

“After the training, 25 percent of the participants will undergo certification programs which will also be co-sponsored by the ministry and Halogen.

“Internship opportunities will be made available to youths who participate in the certification program.”
