Samsung is planning a virtual product launch for the 5th of August and maybe introducing four more devices alongside the launch of the Galaxy Note S20
The South-Korea based tech giant is about to a taste of the new reality locked in the virtual product launch. Just like its immediate competitor, Apple who recently hosted its annual WWDC event virtually, Samsung has also set a date in August for the launch of its latest Galaxy Note S20.
Speaking on the need to carry on with the product launch regardless of all odds, the company’s new smartphone chief, TM Roh, noted that “As leaders of the tech industry, we have a special responsibility – and now a true sense of urgency – to help society continue to move forward. So many people are counting on us to give them new ways to communicate, new ways to work, and new ways to connect.”
While there has been a lot of rumors surrounding the upcoming event, and the numbers of product that will be unveiled; Samsung’s executive have hinted that 5 ‘power’ products are expected to hit the stage during the event in the coming weeks.
Roh who gave the heads-up wrote in a statement that, “These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go,”
“They combine power with seamless functionality, whether you’re at work or play, at home or away. In the Next Normal, you will be empowered to live life to the fullest with these devices in your hand (and in your ears, and on your wrist).” Roh added.

Techcrunch who had more insight about the report hinted of–besides the expected phablet launch– a possible launch of a new version of the Galaxy Buds and a new entry into Samsung’s Galaxy Watch line among others. One can also guess that another device will be joining the foldable series, possibly the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and of course more of 5G incorporation.
Except for subsequent updates or hints, we can hold on to this as an insight of what to expect from the virtual product launch event.
