Infinix, one of world’s leading smartphone brands, has announced the launch and entry into the Nigerian smartphone market, the first ever ChatGPT smartphone, the Infinix Zero 30 5G.
According to the manufacturer, the equally slick and budget-friendly device comes fully packed with amazing first-ever features, making the Infinix Zero 30 5G as a mobile phone of many firsts.
Unveiling the smartphone during a media parley at Ikeja, the smart capital city of Lagos state, Nigeria, the Integrated Marketing Communications Manager and PR Manager at Infinix Mobile Nigeria, Oluwayemisi Ode, urged people to get the new device and enjoy the features.
Explaining the reason for the media parley, she said:
“we’ve already had the global lunch of the Infinix Zero 30 5G last week but we thought it wise to bring together our local media to know and interact with the product so and better explain to the people so they can have a better understanding of the product.”
“Infinix is known for delivering products or services that meet the needs of the target audience. For us, it’s not just about creating pones but ensuring that our phones meet specific needs.
“The Infinix Zero 30 5G is for the younger audience and you know why? We live in a world where the culture is making contents and recording experiences.
“We also noticed that, not only do people want to record their own environment and things happening around them but they also want to be a part of that moment; they want people to see them as they are taking all of these recordings.

“So, the Zero is always been about Vlogging, about camera but we’ve taken a step further by delivering a product (The Infinix Zero 30 5G) that meet that need of the target audience wanting to be part of the experiences they are creating and sharing on social media. “
“The Zero has been series where we’ve been able to do a lot of firsts. With the Zero X Pro, we had the first 60x zoom camera.
“After that, we had the Xero 20 which has the world’s first 200 mega-pixels camera and followed by the Zero 20 Ultra which has the first 60 MP front camera.
“So, if you followed us on the journey of the Zero in the past 2-3 years, you will see that not only have we been excelling in technology but also we have been doing a lot of firsts and creating specific features that make us stand at the forefront of the camera phone technology.”

Specification of the Infinix Zero 30 5G:
Meanwhile, after unveiling the Zero 30 5G, the National Sales Training Manager at Infinix, Oyinlade Ojo extensively explained the specifications of the new device.
During her presentation, she explained that the Infinix Zero 30 5G goes with the slogan, “Capture your own story.”
She said Infinix came up with the new Zero series to give consumers “a redefined smooth front camera which will give us that incredible and detailed story that we can capture anytime, anywhere under any form of light condition.”
The Camera:
The phone’s front-facing 50MP camera helps users shoot Ultra High Definition 4K videos at 60 frames-per-second (fps).
She said since a lot of people are now into vlogging, they need a suitable phone that will help them shoot incredible moments.
According to Oyinlade, “the smartphone comes with a 108MP rear camera that delivers stunningly sharp, crisp photos in low light thanks to a 1/1.67″ sensor and a glass lens that captures 10% more light than standard lenses.
“It combines OIS and EIS technologies to ensure stable image capture for both photography and video.
“Triple lossless zoom allows users to enjoy incredible detail from a distance, while a 120° wide lens helps users capture the world as they see it.”
The two new biggest features of the latest Zero series are the ChatGPT assistant which responds well to any command and the Dual View first ever camera feature that lets the user capture moments and experiences from both front and rear sides of the camera simultaneously.
What this dual camera feature entails is that you no longer need to give your phone to a third party to help you capture a moment you want to feature inside as the camera allows you record your views from both sides.
So, you can simultaneously capture the scene in your front as well as capture yourself and the scene at your back.
Display:
Other features of the device include a gorgeous AMOLED display type with 144Hz refresh rate, 950 nits (peak).
It also boasts of a 6.78 inches size, 111.0 cm2 (~90.0% screen-to-body ratio) and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~388 ppi density).
ChatGPT Feature:
The phone comes with updated Folax voice assistant to integrate ChatGPT. Folax is what helps users make calls, take photos, play music and set alarms. Meanwhile, users can also create their own unique stories.

The Infinix Zero 30 5G also boasts a 5000mAh battery and the energy efficient setup assures users of all day play.
Charging:
In terms of charging, the Sales and Training manager explained that the Infinix Zero 30 5G’s battery comes with a 68W Super Charger that lets you charge the device from 1% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Where to get the phone:
As to where users can get the phone, the Infinix team said consumers can buy the product at smartphone retail stores in the country.
Cypher speaks:
YouTuber, Cypher speaks on the phone, says back camera is better than the front camera.
Meanwhile, in a chat with Techuncode, popular tech influencer and creator, Cypher, shared his experience using the Infinix Zero 30 5G.
According to him, following the global he got himself the device and has been using it to create his contents on social media.
The content creator expressed gratification at the phone features, noting that it is the perfect pick for any creator that wants to shoot great contents but does not want to break the bank to achieve that.
“I have been using it for over a week now. I would say its a good phone. price-wise, its good. Its not a perfect but price point, you are getting a lot.”
“Memory wise, its good; RAM wise, you are getting a lot.”
He said “the camera is not a perfect one but for someone that is trying to make contents and doesn’t want to break the bank, this phone is for you.”
On the most striking feature of the phone for him, Cypher said, “I see them promoting the front camera a lot but funnily enough, the back camera is better! Its a 108 mega-pixel; its more colourful and stable. The back camera can actually compete with most mid high end phones.”
On the issue of whether the phone should have come with an external SD card, the YouTuber said
“There is a new trend happening with smartphones. SD cards tends to corrupt or spoil over time. So, brands stick to not adding external SD cards. I can actually understand why they did that.”
About audio jack, Cypher said although the phone doesn’t come with an audio jack, “technology is moving forward and brands are recently removing like that. But, for a vlogging phone that you need external mic, that’s where the C-converter comes in.”
He said the battery is long-lasting as it can carry for 24 hours on 5G usage. “The battery is perfect!”
On his final verdict on the phone, he said “the phone is almost perfect.”
“The only difference between this phone and an iPhone is the colour of the images they take.”
