Disney+ is Taking A Seat At The Table As A Top Streaming Winner

When you talk about the world’s biggest streaming platforms, few of them will not get lost.

Talking about how many streaming platforms can be considered winners, off the top of your head, we’re sure Netflix, Disney+, and HBO would be there.

But you want to know what bugs us the Most? We’ll tell you. It’s how fast Disney+ is going. Leaving us, jaws dropped surprised. 

Disney is doing big things.

Just in less than a year of its existence, which is more than we can say for other streaming platforms, Disney plus has gotten 60 million active subscribers. Netflix had just two million in its first two months.

Disney has surpassed its expectations. They had a plan to get up to 60 million – 90 million active subscribers by 2024.

Good news for them, they reached that goal in less than a year. 

We can’t say that we’re amazed by all the love they’ve gotten since they started existing.

Before Disney+, there was just Disney, and they had a huge fan base. What we feel happened there was they took the flair and made it work for their extension.

If you’re observant, you will notice that the selection of movies on Disney+ is very generic and friendly for everyone.

Disney is on a new flex that Netflix has been trying to achieve for years.

There are a few things you need to know. We’ve realized that it’s not as easy as you think it is to get subscribers on these platforms.

HBO, for instance, in its first month, signed up to 4 million new subscribers.

Here is where it gets wild. In just 24 hours of its existence, Disney+ signed up to 10 million subscribers.

You might want to also accord the spike in subscription to the ongoing pandemic we’re experiencing. There is a surge.

Have you thought about why? Just in case you haven’t, we’ll tell you anyway. We’d say this as only as possible. We’re all bored! The only way to unwind and relax is by streaming your favorite tv shows. 

Netflix added 26 million active subscribers in the first two quarters of the year. Compared to the 28 million it got for the whole of last year.

We like to consider growth like that as an improvement. 

Hamilton took Disney+ high up.

In July, did you hear a lot about the hit television special “Hamilton”? 

Yes! There was a lot of chatter about how amazing the show is. And we have to say it is one of Disney +’s best works yet.

We might even add that Hamilton increased the number of subscribers in July to several million.
