Popularly addressed as Africa’s most preferred smartphone brand, TECNO has won the Techuncode 2020 Award for the “Most Innovative Smartphone Brand of the Year.”
The mobile brand stood out among four others, including Infinix, Huawei, Samsung, and Vivo in an online survey carried out by the innovative tech platform.
This victory for Tecno is also coming days after the smartphone brand bagged the Beacon of ICT award for the “Mobile phone brand of the year.”
Undoubtedly, this coinciding achievement by the Chinese phone maker symbolizes a resilient effort geared towards success.
Interestingly, the brand did not only make it to the top in the innovative smartphone category of the Techuncode 2020 award; it was also nominated for other symbolic categories.
Tecno Pova also won the “The Most Innovative Phone In 2020.”
The brand also made it to the list of best smartphone brands of the year; 2020 budget-friendly smartphone as well as 2020 smartphone with the best camera quality.
Although the brand didn’t come first in other categories where it was nominated, it sure pulled a lot of muscle in the respective categories.

Tecno has evolved and its resilience and innovative efforts have been recognized and applauded numerous times.
At the recent IFA 2020 event in Germany, the brand’s latest Camon 16 Premier Smartphone was also recognized and awarded the “Camera Technology Innovation Smartphone Gold Award.”
To have won a gold award from the world’s largest and most influential home appliance and consumer electronics, Tecno has certainly made a statement of confidence in the industry.
As such, the expectation for the brand to push deeper in its innovative exploration is at an all-time high.
