According to Business Insider, Twitter has added Stanford professor and former Google vice president to its board of directors, a sign of the company’s growing emphasis on AI

Fei-Fei Li, an artificial intelligence expert, will join the board as an independent director immediately.
“With unparalleled expertise in engineering, computer science and artificial intelligence , Fei-Fei brings relevant perspectives to the Board as Twitter continues to utilize technology to improve our service and achieve our long-term objectives,” Twitter executive chair Omid Kordestani said in a news release.
“She shares Twitter’s passion for using technology to promote positive change and her appointment aligns with our commitment to adding a director who reflects the diversity of the Twitter service and also possesses deep technology and AI expertise.” Twitter announced.
