Users reported problems with sending and receiving messages.
According to Downdetector, a platform that tracks websites, about 11400 people reported trouble with Whatsapp.
In Nigeria, more than 60 million internet users also experienced trouble using the service.
Meanwhile, while 68% of the complainants experienced trouble with sending message via WhatsApp, 19% had issues with server connections.
