WhatsApp Will End Support For Some iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C

iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C

WhatsApp says that it would disenable its support for some iPhone users. It would stop working on iPhones that run on iOS 10 and 11. Interesting, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C are the iPhones that run only run on the version of iOS.

Although other versions of the iPhone can still run on the iOS, like iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S

However, in an article by WhatsApp help, WhatsApp would only run for iPhones with iOS12 and above.

So this means some users can update their iPhones to iOS 12 and the newer versions of iOS.

Those using iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and 6S are iPhones that can still operate on iOS 10 and 11 but can be updated to better versions of iOS.

If you happen to be using any of the phones, you should check your phone to see if it has a compatible iOS update.

However, those using iPhone 5 and 5C would no longer have access to WhatsApp.

And if they still have interest in the app, they would be forced to change their phones or get better versions of their phone.

WhatsApp has not specified when the changes will happen, but it mentioned it would occur sometime this year.
