Mayday! Mayday! Google’s Server Is Down

Mayday! Mayday! Google’s Server is Down

On Friday morning, Google servers went down and that has caused an uproar everywhere.

Google Drive, down! Mail, down! Google Hangouts, down!

The development has disrupted Google employees everywhere.

Before Google’s Server went down, YouTube, owned by Google, had also experienced technical glitches.

Google didn’t take long in attempting to rectify the issue.

The glitch appears to be sorted out now.

Google services are also back to normal, working effectively.

What happened to the server?

Google’s Error Message

When the server was down, users got error messages as such :

“Server is experiencing a temporary challenge.”

“Request could currently not be attended to.”

In addition to the error messages they got, Google did seem clueless of the condition.

Messages that asked users to try again in a few seconds and that’s all they could say at the time.

North America and East Asia had the most reported issues of a down server.

This information was obtained from Downdetector.

Downdetector is a site that monitors when services and servers go down.

Along with Asia and North America, reports from other people also surfaced.

South America, New Zealand and Australia also had a good number of reported cases.

To be more descriptive

Google Mail, for instance, took a long time to load.

Others, such as the Google Play Store and co, were on a continuous loop of loading.

This isn’t the right image for Google.

Google users expressed their discomfort through social media.

Google hasn’t released a comment yet.

If other sites and servers go down, people will probably not talk much of it.

It’s a bit strange for something like this to happen to Google.

This is because of its prestigious nature.

It’s rather disappointing that this is coming from Google.

Google works under its parent company, Alphabet Inc.

Just in case you might have been unaware, the company is worth up to $919 billion, which is approximately £721 billion.

The company was also founded in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page, both internet entrepreneurs.

Google’s initial design was just for the intention of being a search engine.

However, over time, it has expanded to provide so many more services.

Google’s Google Hangouts

YouTube, for instance, the video-sharing platform, belongs to Google.

Google mail, which is a mail service. Google Meets; this is a video conferencing platform.

Notwithstanding, the down server has been rectified.

We can only hope that it doesn’t repeat itself, for the sake of Google’s image.
