Suddenly, Twitter is bombarding everyone with Elon Musk Tweets. So, what’s wrong with the app?
It seems Twitter or the engineer responsible has over-done the work of bringing solution to poor tweet engagements on Elon Musk’s tweets.
So, in trying to make the CEO’s tweets more visible and generate more engagements, Twitter has hit the over-kill button, or so it seems.
Otherwise, why is Twitter bombarding users with Elon’s tweets?
Recall that few days ago, Techuncode reported how Elon Musk sacked Twitter engineer responsible for ensuring that people’s tweets get the engagements they are supposed to get.
The issue had equally affected Elon Musk himself who later became worried.
Consequently, he had assembled his engineers and advisors to look for solution to the problem.
Elon Musk has over 100 million followers on Twitter but his tweets gets just few engagements.
The Tesla CEO said to his advisor, “This is ridiculous.”
“I have more than 100 million followers, and I’m only getting tens of thousands of impressions.”
Meanwhile, before assembling the experts, Musk had tweeted complaining that his tweets were getting fewer engagements.
He had also proceeded to make his account private for a whole day in order to detect what was wrong.
He wanted to know why his Twitter engagements were dropping fast.
“Made my account private until tomorrow morning to test whether you see my private tweets more than my public ones.”
Elon Musk subsequently fired an engineer over the issue while others rallied round to fix the problem.
The Tesla CEO later tweeted saying the problem had been addressed.
However, the solution seems to be, rather, an over-kill as the app has started behaving abnormally.
On Monday, several Twitter users noticed that their “For You” feeds on the website were full of tweets and replies from the tech billionaire, some several days old, save for the occasional promoted tweet.
Users reported their feeds being packed with Musk’s recent tweets, including accounts that don’t follow him.
