A 160W Fast-Charging Smartphone Is Coming Soon From Infinix

Infinix has successfully positioned itself as one of the Fastest-Growing Mobile Phone Brands in Africa, earning rank 26 among the TOP 100 MOST-ADMIRED BRANDS IN AFRICA.

The company recently released the Infinix Note 10 Pro, which matched the leaks reported by the XDA blog. They could be preparing a budget phone with a super-fast 160W charging.

This image of a 160W “Ultra Flash Charge” brick with Infinix branding retrieved from the XDA blog below, suggests that Infinix may be working on a device that offers significantly faster-charging efficiency than most of the other Android devices available right now.

For example, the OnePlus 9 Pro can provide up to 65W, while Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra can reach 67W.

Sadly, there aren’t any concrete details about what phone the charger is intended for. It is also possible that the charger could be for something larger that requires more power. Like, say a tablet or a laptop.

Infinix recently started selling Windows laptops in Egypt, Indonesia, and Nigeria — laptops without dedicated graphics cards don’t necessarily need 160W charging in any case.

Infinix also most recently released the Note 10 Pro, a budget flagship with a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, 6.95-inch 90Hz LCD screen, and Android 11. That phone supports 18W fast charging — which is relatively fast — but definitely not comparable to a 160W charging capacity.
