GITEX 2020: NITDA Offers Full Sponsorship For Tech Startups

National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has offered full sponsorship for startups to attend the 40th edition of GITEX Technology Week.

The GITEX Technology Week is scheduled to hold from December 6-10, 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

GITEX is an annual consumer computer and electronics trade show, exhibition, and conference.

The Theme for this year’s edition is “Synergising the Mind and Technology Economy.”

Interested startups wishing to apply should have solutions in the following areas:
1. 5G
2. AI & Augmented Analytics.
3. Future Mobility (Transportation)
4. Digital Economies
5. Cyber Security and Resilience
6. Cloud and Edge Computing
7. Blockchain Technology

NITDA’s focus is to implement the National Digital economy policy for digital Nigeria.

Furthermore, Its directive is to create frameworks for planning, research, development, standardization.

Additionally, the agency is also mandated to create evaluation and regulation of IT practices in Nigeria.

NITDA’s top priority is Developmental Regulation, Digital Literacy/Skills and Solid Infrastructure.

3. Software Infrastructure Digital Society and Emerging Technologies.

4. Indigenous Content Development and Adoption.

GITEX Technology Week
