MTN Group named most valuable African Brand, Worth US$3.3bn

MTN Group now holds the title of the most valuable African brand with a  brand value of US$3.3bn.

The survey set out to figure out the effect of coronavirus on the brands listed.

This information was then compared to the value of the brand before COVID-19 became a pandemic.

The survey classified the telecommunication sector as “limited impact.”

This will translate to mean potential brand value growth or minimal or minimal brand value loss.

It was further attributed to the crucial function telcos play in ensuring people stay connected amidst COVID-19.

Before now, Brand Africa named the MTN Group the most valuable South African brand.

This was owing to MTN’S dedication to improving the customer experience for subscribers.

They were also able to bring 19,000 staff to share the belief that people deserve to enjoy modern connected life.
