NITDA Blockchain Scholarship To Train 30,000 Nigerians


The federal government, through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), will sponsor 30,000 Nigerians on blockchain training.
NITDA announced this in a partnership deal with Domineum Blockchain Solutions at the Blockchain day event that was held on the 25th of October.
The NITDA Blockchain Scholarship, 2022 scheme will enable 30,000 Nigerians to get training on Blockchain technology for “developing career skillset in an emerging technology.”
Also, the scholarship aims at accelerating blockchain adoption in Nigeria, making us a global player in the blockchain industry.
Domineum Blockchain will be in charge of implementing the training and BSV Blockchain Academy will be the course content provider.
According to the announcement, all states in Nigeria will be beneficiaries of the program. It will be given at the state level to be held through a hybrid mode (virtual and physical meetups).
Outstanding teams in the project phase of the program will have the opportunity to join an incubation program that will hold in London. While the rest will be exposed to a BSV Ecosystem where they can engage in other projects.
Requirements to join NITDA Blockchain Scholarship, 2022 scheme
- You do not need prior knowledge of programming or blockchain but you should be interested, passionate and determined.
- For Nigerians who are ready to be available at least 20 hours in a week.
- Also, you should have access to a laptop or desktop.
- The training is free, so no payment is required.

Details of the training
The training is hosted by the federal republic of Nigeria. And it is to hold from the 1st of December, 2022. Also, the application link has been out since 31st October and will be closing on 28th November 2022.

This is not the first of the NITDA skill acquisition program. To have a sustainable digital economy, NITDA has committed to launching skillset programs targeted at upskilling Nigerians in emerging technologies.
NITDA has also developed a strategist roadmap plan to achieve National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEP).
Also, one million Nigerians will be trained through a scholarship by NITDA on software development. This will not only drive digital adoption in Nigeria but also reduce the number of unemployment.
Through programs like NITDA Blockchain Scholarship, it will help Nigeria to be able to bridge the gap between international borders thereby thriving in the industry and growing its adoption.
