The initiative aims at providing a homegrown scalable platform through young Nigerian youths for Nigerian farmers and consumers to access farm products.

According to Microsoft, the competition will kick off on the 28th of March.

It is open to Nigerians from the age of 18 to 45 years.

They must be from any of the geopolitical zones of the country.

Also, they must take an interest in technology, agriculture or entrepreneurship.

Individuals shortlisted from their application would have to form a team during the Hackathon stage.

And they would undergo four weeks of mentorship under world-class agro-specialists, entrepreneurs, and training teams from Microsoft.

Microsoft and its team will pick the three most outstanding team solutions for funding and technical support at the end of the competition.

Also, they would give consolation prizes to the 20 finalists of the Hackathon.

At the same time, the top winning teams would share a sum of 5 million Naira with other consolation prizes (offers, mentorships and events).
